Audio/Visual Technician
On-Site: Primarily Long Island & New York City
Job Description:
We’re seeking a skilled Audio/Visual Technician to manage live event AV systems from setup to breakdown. You’ll operate and troubleshoot sound, video, and lighting equipment while collaborating with performers, production leads, and clients to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences. What You’ll Do:
- Set up, configure, and operate audio, video, and lighting systems, including projectors, screens, video walls, speakers, mixers, and microphones
- Perform live mixing, EQ adjustments, and visual transitions to ensure a seamless event experience
- Monitor AV systems during events and troubleshoot technical issues in real time
- Collaborate with production leads, performers, and event managers to achieve flawless audio/visual execution
- Participate in safe and efficient load-in, on-site operations, and load-out
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with live sound, video projection, and lighting systems
- Understanding of AV signal flow, troubleshooting, and live event operation
- Proficiency with digital and/or analog mixers, video switchers, and lighting controllers
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly
- Strong communication skills and professional, client-facing demeanor
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and irregular event schedules
- Ability to safely handle and manage AV equipment
